{"id":832,"date":"2017-04-03T08:47:26","date_gmt":"2017-04-02T22:47:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monrealescookinginspirations.com\/?p=832"},"modified":"2021-01-30T09:26:03","modified_gmt":"2021-01-29T22:26:03","slug":"passionfruit-biscuits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/monrealescookinginspirations.com\/index.php\/2017\/04\/03\/passionfruit-biscuits\/","title":{"rendered":"Passionfruit biscuits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-835 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/monrealescookinginspirations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Passionfruit-biscuits-268x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"268\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/monrealescookinginspirations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Passionfruit-biscuits-268x300.jpg 268w, https:\/\/monrealescookinginspirations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Passionfruit-biscuits.jpg 286w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 268px) 100vw, 268px\" \/><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\"><em>I adore passionfruit and these melt-in-your-mouth shortbreads are divine!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Ingredients:-<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>185g unsalted butter<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp finely grated lemon<\/li>\n<li>\u00be cup icing sugar<\/li>\n<li>3 passionfruit<\/li>\n<li>\u00be cup cornflour<\/li>\n<li>1\u00bc cups self raising flour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Method:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cream together butter, lemon rind and sifted icing sugar until fluffy.<\/li>\n<li>Add passionfruit pulp, mix well.<\/li>\n<li>Fold in sifted cornflour and self raising flour.<\/li>\n<li>Put mixture piping fitted with fluted tube, and pipe in decorative shapes on to oven tray lined with baking paper.(tip wet oven tray\u00a0slightly with water to hold baking paper still)\u00a0 I like to make a figure 8 as it makes nice shapes.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Bake in oven at 180\u00b0C or 160\u00b0C fan forced for 12 minutes until lightly golden.<\/li>\n<li>Cool on wire racks.<\/li>\n<li>When cold dip tops in passionfruit icing. (You can omit this if you like them as they are)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em><strong>Icing:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00bd cup pure icing sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp butter<\/li>\n<li>1 passionfruit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Combine sifted icing sugar, softened butter and passionfruit pulp, mix until smooth.\u00a0 Stir over hot water until glossy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Makes about 40-50 depending on the size make them.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Let me know in the comments below what you think of my recipe when you have made them&#8230;.I love feedback \u2665<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I adore passionfruit and these melt-in-your-mouth shortbreads are divine!
