{"id":132,"date":"2016-07-06T15:35:22","date_gmt":"2016-07-06T05:35:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/monreale.gurfle.net\/?p=132"},"modified":"2021-09-15T16:08:15","modified_gmt":"2021-09-15T06:08:15","slug":"twice-baked-gruyere-cheese-souffles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/monrealescookinginspirations.com\/index.php\/2016\/07\/06\/twice-baked-gruyere-cheese-souffles\/","title":{"rendered":"Twice baked gruyere cheese souffles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">I adore these gruyere cheese souffles\u00a0not only because they are so delicious to eat, but they are so easy to make with very little to do at the last minute \u2665\u2665\u2665<\/span><\/em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-44 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/monrealescookinginspirations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/twice-baked-grueyere-cheese-soufle-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"twice baked grueyere cheese soufle\" width=\"221\" height=\"166\" srcset=\"https:\/\/monrealescookinginspirations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/twice-baked-grueyere-cheese-soufle-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/monrealescookinginspirations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/twice-baked-grueyere-cheese-soufle-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/monrealescookinginspirations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/twice-baked-grueyere-cheese-soufle-640x480.jpg 640w, https:\/\/monrealescookinginspirations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/twice-baked-grueyere-cheese-soufle.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 221px) 100vw, 221px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ingredients:-<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<div>40g unsalted butter<\/div>\n<div>2 eschalots, finely chopped<\/div>\n<div>2 tsp chopped thyme<\/div>\n<div>\u00bc cup plain flour<\/div>\n<div>1 cup milk<\/div>\n<div>\u00b9\u2044\u00b3 cup grated Gruyere cheese<\/div>\n<div>2 eggs, separated<\/div>\n<div>whole nutmeg<\/div>\n<div>\u00b9\u2044\u00b3 cup grated Gruyere cheese, extra<\/div>\n<div><em><strong>Cheese sauce:-<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n<div>\u00b9\u2044\u00b3 cup milk<\/div>\n<div>\u00b9\u2044\u00b3 cup grated Gruyere cheese<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><em><strong>Method:-<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Preheat oven to 180\u00b0C, brush three ramekins with melted butter &amp; dust with flour.<\/li>\n<li>Melt 1 tsp butter in a pan over medium heat. \u00a0Add eschalots and thyme. \u00a0Cook for 4 minutes until soft. \u00a0Set aside to cool.<\/li>\n<li>Melt the remaining butter in a saucepan over medium heat. \u00a0Add the flour and cook, whisking for 1-2 mins. \u00a0Remove from heat and add the milk a little at a time, whisking constantly until smooth. \u00a0return to the heat and cook, stirring with a wooden spoon until smooth. \u00a0Add\u00a0\u00b9\u2044\u00b3 cup cheese and stir until melted. \u00a0Remove from the heat.<\/li>\n<li>Combine the eschalot mixture and 1 egg yolk in a small food processor and process until smooth. Stir into the cheese sauce with the remaining egg yolk.
