cropped-image-5.jpegCooking, travel, teaching and growing vegetables has been my life for many years, and I would love to share them all with you.

After running a successful bed and breakfast in Burradoo/Bowral for a few years I wish to continue to delight people with the wonderful world of food.  I can teach a group or an individual how to make, cook and enjoy the delights of fresh pasta, gourmet meals and desserts, or basic cooking skills, and the skills of how to make artisan sourdough bread.

I ran lots of cooking classes in my bed and breakfast, hands on pasta classes, main course and desserts as one class and now also the wonderful world sourdough.

I’m happy to teach all my classes either on a one to one basis, or just two or in a group in your home or mine, a great choice selection.  Visit my class page for more details and send me an email with your wishes.

My passion is to teach and give people the skills to cook delicious nutritious meals at home.  I also like to teach the young and inexperienced cook how easy it is to produce main courses, desserts and give them basic skills, by coming into your home or you coming to mine to achieve this.

I have taught children to cook in the wonderful Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden programme, giving them an insight into the world of fresh food, easy meals and how to grow wonderful vegetables, to help them understand ‘fast food’ as something different than McDonalds.

If you have an elderly family member who needs a hot lunch a few days a week just let me know.

I have travelled Europe extensively, especially France and Italy, and have a travel page on this site to assist with any questions you may have about the best regions and places to stay throughout France.  We have been to all regions and I will update each time we travel, with recommendations, and photos and of course food experiences along the way.  We travel in every year and will be again exchanging houses with another lovely French couple.

Home exchange is a wonderful way to see the world and live like a local without the expense of hotel stays, and even car hire.  We have been travelling this way for years, and wouldn’t change it for the world.  If you would like more information about the websites to visit and subscribe to, send me an email.

  • I was selected for a television cooking program, Come Dine with me Australia in the premier week of 2010
  • I also had been selected as a Gifted Gourmet in the ABC 702 radio program in 2011
  • I have also participated in My Kitchen Rules as a restaurant reviewer in 2016.
  • I trained with Italians both in Italy and in Sydney to become an expert in pasta making.
  • I also trained for two years at the Technology school in Sydney as a chef when I was 18.
